3D Printing
What is it?
The library's printers create objects by laying down many thin layers of plastic. You can design your own 3D model or find a file online that someone else has already created.
How do I get started?
- Let library staff know that you're interested and if you have any ideas about what you'd like to print.
- Use tinkercad.com to learn how to create a model OR find something already created on thingiverse.com.
- Let staff know that you've got a model you want to print and select a color.
- We'll take a look at what you've got, suggest improvements if needed and start the job.
- Pay for the print at the library's checkout desk. Pricing is $.20/gram.
- Depending on the complexity and size, prints can take several hours or days to complete. We'll contact you when it's ready to pick up!
