Proctoring Guidelines
1.) Test proctoring is available during open hours.
2.) Scheduling is based on the availability of staff, technology, and a study room.
3.) The library will follow instructions, provide materials sent by the school, and monitor the exam for the duration provided by the school.
4.) Library staff will not sign any statement required by your school that is outside library policy or procedure. If we are unable to proctor your exam, we will notify you ahead of time.
5.) The library will submit any required material to the contact information provided by your school.
6.) Your test is not considered to be confirmed until all student responsibilities listed below are complete and you have received a confirmation from the library. Please review them carefully.

Student Responsibilities
1.) Verify your institution accepts all library proctoring guidelines which are listed above.
2.) On or before your test date, pay the $20 proctoring fee. This charge is waived if you have a Rapid City Public Library card.
3.) Reserve a Proctoring Time in one of the study rooms at least three (3) days before the desired test date. Library staff will review the request and send a confirmation if that date and time will work.
4.) Once your proctoring session is confirmed, arrange for your institution to send the exam material, contact information, and passwords for tests to busoffice@rcplib.org.

5.) Verify the library has received your test materials before your test date.
On the Day of Your Test
1.) Please arrive before your scheduled test start time. If you need additional set up time, include that when scheduling your test.
2.) Check in at the front desk to notify staff that you are here for a proctored test.
3.) Provide postage and mailing supplies if not provided by the school. Pay the $20 fee if needed.
4.) Please do not bring items restricted by your institution to your test. During your test, the library cannot be responsible for holding these items.
