Bats, boxwork caverns, and more! Assistant Chief of Interpretation Lennie Ramacher discusses the animals and geology of Wind Cave National Park.

Below the prairie nestled in the Black Hills sits Wind Cave, one of the longest and most complex caves in the world. Named for barometric winds at its entrance, this maze of passages is home to boxwork, a unique formation rarely found elsewhere, as well as 11 species of bats.
