This powerful work blends investigative journalism and personal memoir to uncover how Clarren’s immigrant ancestors benefited from homesteading in South Dakota—on land taken from the Lakota—while probing our shared history and imagining a path toward justice and healing. Don’t miss this chance to explore a story that’s deeply rooted in our state’s legacy and urgently relevant today.
